Referat pt. „The Roman Law Roots of Public Ecclesiastical Law: Issues on Marriage and Separation” wygłosi ks. prof. Franciszek Longchamps de Bérier z Katedry Prawa Rzymskiego UJ. Ponieważ tematem całej konwencji jest „Church and State: Distinct but not Separate”, powierzono mu także drugi referat nt. „Church-State Relations: Separation Without the Wall”, nawiązujący tytułem do jego dawnej publikacji Church-State Relations: Separation without the Wall, Studia Iuridica 30/1995, s. 61–92.
